| Oh, my first date, what a night to
recall, I thought I was ready, I knew nothing at all! With sweaty palms and a nervous grin, The great adventure was about to begin. I tore through my closet, a full hurricane, “What’s cool? What’s cringy?!” My brain went insane. My shoes didn’t match, my hair was a mess, But I nodded and said, “Okay… close enough, I guess.” We met at the diner, such a classic spot, And I prayed I wouldn’t do something I’d regret (a lot). The server came by; I froze in my seat, “Uh… water and fries!” (I forgot how to eat!). We talked about hobbies and movies we knew, I tried cracking jokes, and, guess what? They *flew*! But when I reached for my drink, it slipped from my hand, A tidal wave of soda washed over the stand. I stammered, “I’m sorry!” expecting the worst, But she chuckled and said, “Hey, I’ve spilled stuff first!” And just like that, the tension dissolved, As we laughed through mistakes no one could’ve solved. Dessert was a milkshake, with two straws to share, I slurped too fast, ouch! Brain freeze despair! But she smiled and said, “You’re one of a kind,” And suddenly, I didn’t mind looking behind. The night wasn’t perfect, far from precise, But maybe perfection’s not really the price. It’s the laughs, the smiles, the moments you feel, That remind you the best dates are just being real. So here’s to first dates, all awkward and new, Where everything fumbles, but magic shines through. They teach us that laughter can carry the weight, And that’s why I’ll always love my first date |
