Sale Prices

Have you noticed that most sale prices are  $9.99,  $19.99,  $99.99 instead of $10, $20 and $100? Most people presume this is done to lure the consumer into thinking this is a lower price. Question: What was the original reason for not rounding off these sale prices? See answer
