A radiologist
is treating a patient with a malignant stomach tumor.
She must destroy the tumor but she cannot oprerate.
If the radiologist uses high intensity X rays to destroy
the tumor, she will destroy healthy tissue through which the X rays
must pass.
If less powerful X rays are used they will spare the
healthy tissue but will not be strong enough to destroy the tumor.
Question:
How can the radiologist destroy the tumor without damaging the healthy
tissue?
