How
to
play
Students
choose five random numbers
between 1 and
9 and one target number number between 10 and 20.
The 5 numbers can only be used once. (Do not repeat a number.)
They cannot combine numbers
(Example :7 and 3 to make 73)
Divide students into groups.
First team to reach 5000 wins a free trip to the washroom or something
like that!
Scoring
:
1000 points when all five chosen numbers are used to get the target
number
500 points for four numbers
300 points for three numbers
Students can use all four operations in any combination.
Example
:
Five students choose 2,
3, 4, 7, 9 as the
numbers and 14
as the target
number.
For 300 points: 3+4+7 = 14
for 500 points: 9-4 + 7 + 2 = 14
for 1000 points: (4 + 7 + 9) - (2x3) = 14
