Use a deck of playing
cards and turn
twelve cards face up. Leave the other fourty cards face down. Insert the twelve face up cards into the fourty cards. Shuffle the cards. Challenge: With eyes shut, create two piles of cards each containing the exact same number of face up cards. Solution: Make two piles of cards. One pile has 12 cards and the other has 40 cards. Turn over the pile of 12 cards. Count the face up cards in each pile. You will have the same number of face up cards in each pile. Question: Can you explain this math trick? Watch the video |
