Acrostic Poem Writing - Workbook for Students

What is an Acrostic Poem?
An acrostic poem is a type of poem where the first letter of each line spells out a word vertically.
The rest of the lines describe or relate to the word you’re spelling out.
It’s a creative way to explore a topic or idea!

---

Step 1: Understand the Structure
- Choose a word – This word will be spelled vertically.
- Write the letters vertically – Each letter of the word starts a line of your poem.
- Describe or explain – Use each line to describe the word or what it makes you think about.

---
